For the past ten years storytelling – using my lens to bridge art, culture and conservation. What began as a creative outel during my university years has evolved into a purposeful journey that’s, taken me across most breathtaking landscapes and into collaborations with some of the country’s most inspiring people and organizations.
As the founder of Photography by Quilz Tamay, I’ve developed a robust and diverse portfolio that spans fashion, editorial, and environmental storytelling. My work has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, where I made history as the first and only Belizean photographer
to shoot for the publication- a moment that deepened my belief in the global power of Belizean stories. I’ve also had the honor of contributing to Lonely Planet Magazine, capturing the natural and cultural beauty that defines our country.
My recent relationship with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) has allowed me to merge my love for photography and environmental advocacy. One of my proudest milestones was facilitating a national photo storytelling workshop with WCS, empowering others to use imagery as a tool for conservation and awareness
In the creative arena, I served as the official photographer for Miss Universe Belize and Miss Eart Belize, documenting moments of confidence, culture, and empowerment on one of the nation’s most recognized stages. My lens has been trusted to capture everything from high-profile events to grassroots conservation efforts – and I approach each with the same dedication to authenticity and impact.
Through every project, whether in the rainforest or the studio, my goal remains the same: to tell stories that move people – stories that preserve, celebrate, and connect.
